Quick answer: yes, LinkedIn has a free scheduler built in. Here is how to schedule LinkedIn posts: click Start a post, write it, click the clock icon, pick a date and time, click Next, then Schedule. A profile can schedule from 10 minutes to 3 months ahead. A Page needs at least an hour. Or skip the blank box: Magic Marketer® turns a call, a voice note or a link into LinkedIn posts and schedules them for you once you approve.

On this page
Yes. LinkedIn schedules posts natively, on personal profiles and on company Pages. It costs nothing.
It lives behind a small clock icon in the post box. Most people have looked straight past it for years (no judgement, so had we).
Six steps, all in the normal post box.
Click Start a post
At the top of your LinkedIn home page.
Write the post
Type it in the "What do you want to talk about?" box. Add your image, video or document here too.
Click the clock icon
It sits in the lower-right corner of the post box.
Pick the date and time
Anything from 10 minutes to 3 months from now.
Click Next
This takes you back to the post preview.
Click Schedule
Done. The post goes out at the time you picked.
To see what is queued, click the clock icon again, then View all scheduled posts. Each one can be edited, rescheduled or deleted from there.
The steps above are the slow way. LinkedIn's scheduler holds a finished post until the time you pick. One post at a time, and it does not write anything.
That is the real problem. Not the scheduling. Not the clock icon. Just the blank box above it.
Magic Marketer® starts from something you already said. You review the posts, and it publishes or schedules them to your profile or Page for you.
Connect LinkedIn
Open Integrations and choose LinkedIn. You sign in on LinkedIn's own screen, so we never see your password.
Pick the profile or the Page
Or both. You choose per post where it goes.
Give it a source
A client call, a voice note, a link or a PDF. That becomes a set of posts in your voice.
Review the batch
Tweak a line, swap an image, delete what you do not like.
Approve and pick the timing
Post now, pick a date and time, or schedule for best performance. Best time reads your own account history, so it needs some first.
Document carousels publish as native LinkedIn documents, so there is no PDF to export. Nothing posts until you approve it.
One financial advisor we know spent three weeks "planning to start posting". Every morning: open LinkedIn, stare, close the laptop. Once the post idea was handed to him ready to personalise, he posted five times a week and landed two speaking gigs in a month.
If you write one post a week and enjoy it, LinkedIn's own scheduler is free and does the job. Honestly.
Free for 7 days. Cancel anytime before day 7 and you won't be charged. Publishing is included in the trial.
Same six steps in the LinkedIn app. The clock just moves to the top.
Tap Post
In the navigation bar.
Write the post
In the "Share your thoughts..." box.
Tap the clock icon
In the upper-right corner.
Pick the date and time
Same window: 10 minutes to 3 months.
Tap Next
Back to the preview.
Tap Schedule
That is it.
You need to be a super admin or a content admin of the Page. Then it works the same way, from the Page instead of your home feed.
Open your Page admin view
Choose Page posts from the left menu.
Click Start a post
Write the post as usual.
Click the schedule icon
Lower right of the post box. Pick the date and time.
Click Next, then Schedule
Finish the post in the preview first.
Two differences from a profile. A Page post has to be at least an hour away, not 10 minutes. And a Page cannot schedule events, multiple photos, reshares, polls, jobs or service posts.
LinkedIn's own rules, profile and Page side by side.
| Rule | Personal profile | Company Page |
|---|---|---|
| Earliest | 10 minutes from now | 1 hour from now |
| Latest | 3 months ahead | 3 months ahead |
| Who can schedule | You | Super admins and content admins |
| Cannot be scheduled | Events, jobs | Events, multiple photos, reshares, polls, jobs, service posts |
Checked against LinkedIn's help centre on 12 October 2026.
These are the sizes Magic Marketer® builds each LinkedIn format to. They work just as well if you make the posts yourself.
| Format | Size we use |
|---|---|
| Document carousel | PDF, 1200 x 1500 per page |
| Text post | Up to 3,000 characters |
| Single image | 1200 x 1200 |
| Video | Up to 10 minutes |
Nearly every failure is one of these.
Yes. Click Start a post, write it, click the clock icon, pick a date and time, click Next, then Schedule. It works on personal profiles and company Pages, and it is free.
Drop in a link, a photo or one line. Your first post is ready in 2 minutes, checked against your guardrails, and goes out to any of 9 channels when you say so.
Free for 7 days. Cancel anytime before day 7 and you won't be charged. We'll remind you before your trial ends.
