Goal & milestones — your brand's north star
Set one big goal for the brand, track progress, and break it into milestones — so every draft stays pointed at what you're actually building toward.
A brand without a clear destination drifts. Posts get written, weeks go by, and somehow you're still talking about everything and nothing. The fix isn't more content — it's a north star you can see while you write.
Today we're upgrading Brand → Goal & milestones: one big outcome, optional progress, and a timeline of checkpoints along the way.
What you set
Big goal
The outcome this brand is working toward — the sentence you'd put on a sticky note above your desk. Example: Reach 50,000 engaged followers across all channels.
Progress
Optional year, percent complete, and a short label (like 31.2k / 50k) so the Brand page shows how far you've come at a glance.
Milestones
The steps between here and the big goal. Each milestone has a title, short description, quarter (or any time label), and a status:
- Done — already hit
- In progress — the current checkpoint
- Upcoming — still ahead
Add as many as you need. The timeline on Brand mirrors that order so your team can see the plan without opening a separate tracker.
How Magic Marketer uses it
Your big goal and milestones are passed into caption generation alongside strategy and opt-ins. That means weekly drafts and Create Post can lean toward the outcome you're chasing — not a generic "grow the brand" vibe.
This sits next to your posting objective (Grow followers / Generate leads / Drive sales). The objective shapes the kind of CTA; Goal & milestones shapes the destination the story is heading toward.
Personal and company brands
Goals are per brand entity. Your personal brand can chase audience growth while the company brand tracks pipeline or product launches — each with its own milestones.
Where to find it
Open Brand → Goal & milestones (just under Opt-ins & lead magnets). Click Edit goal, set the big outcome, add milestones, and save. Progress updates whenever you edit — there's no automatic sync from analytics yet.
